Significant Changes and Updates

New Open Banking Market Specific Pages

We’re rolling out new country-by-country open banking specifics pages on our website here. These market-specific pages give you a clear, structured view of how open banking works in each region, so you can plan integrations more effectively and reduce surprises during implementation. Each page includes:

  • Authorization flows and SCA methods: a detailed overview of the authentication methods available. By understanding the supported Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) flows in advance, you can anticipate how authorisation will work in each region and improve customer experience. It allows you to provide the correct information at the right time, to inform users appropriately, reduce friction during authentication, and ultimately improve conversion rates by providing a smoother, more transparent user experience.

  • Major banks: highlights the key banks operating in that region. This gives you a clear view of the most prominent ASPSPs at a glance, helping you prioritise development and allocate resources more effectively by focusing on institutions with the largest user base.

  • Payment specifics: outlines the types of payment types supported in the market. If your use case depends on a specific payment method, such as instant payments or recurring transactions, helps you quickly assess whether open banking in that region aligns with your product requirements.

  • ASPSP specific details: this section provides bank-level insights, including data fetching behaviour, authorisation flow nuances, and other integration-specific characteristics. These details help you anticipate potential challenges in advance, making it easier to plan, test, and streamline your integration process for each ASPSP.

These pages are designed to help you map out specific features for each market, without the overhead of reading through technical ASPSP documentation or contacting customer support. Some of the information included on these pages isn't available through public documentation, it's based on real usage data and patterns we've observed from live integrations.

This is just the starting point. At Enable Banking, we have a deep understanding of the open banking ecosystem, and by sharing this knowledge, we hope to increase transparency across the industry. We’ll be expanding and improving these pages continuously, with new markets, more data, and richer insight. If there’s something missing or you’d like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you.

Automatic Emails for Application Approval and Updates

We’ve introduced automated email notifications to keep you up-to-date on the status of your applications. You’ll now receive instant notifications when your application is approved for production, as well as when changes submitted via the Control Panel are processed.

This reduces the need for manual follow-ups, speeds up communication, minimizes friction in managing application updates, and ensures you’re always informed throughout the application lifecycle.
